Jharkhand Paramedical Council Registration Name Mismatch: Marksheet, Passing Certificate and Registration
The Jharkhand State Paramedical Council, at the RIMS Doctor's Colony campus in Bariatu, Ranchi, holds the exams for paramedical courses and issues your marksheet, passing certificate and registration certificate. So for a paramedical worker, one council issues three papers. Its own fee list shows a correction fee for each one. If your name is wrong on any of them, or differs from your matric or Aadhaar, this page shows where to start. We publish Gazette notices, and we say this first: a spelling slip in these papers needs no Gazette notice.
Five points, in the order you will need them. First, take your matric certificate as the base. Second, find which council paper differs: marksheet, passing certificate or registration. Third, correct the oldest one first, since the later ones copy it. This is our advice. Fourth, pay the council's correction fee for each: Rs 200, Rs 500 and Rs 1,000, on its fee list. Fifth, a spelling slip here does not need a Gazette. We publish Gazette notices, and we say this plainly.
What the Jharkhand Paramedical Council Issues and Charges
We read the council's home page and its fee page. The fees below are the council's own. The council's pages list correction fees but not the steps or papers for a correction, so those parts are our advice.
| Point | What the council's pages show |
|---|---|
| Registration | Rs 1,500 General and OBC; Rs 750 SC and ST |
| Registration certificate, duplicate or correction | Rs 1,000 |
| Passing certificate, duplicate or correction | Rs 500 |
| Marksheet, duplicate or correction | Rs 200 |
| Renewal | Rs 500, every 5 years |
| Migration and verification | Migration certificate Rs 400; certificate verification Rs 500 |
| Collecting certificates | At the council office, only on Tuesdays and Fridays, 10 AM to 5 PM |
So the council issues three papers that carry your name. The registration certificate is usually made from the passing certificate, and the passing certificate from your exam records. A slip in the first can travel into the next two. This is our reading.
Which Paramedical Registration Name Mismatch Case You Have
Paramedical name problems fall into a few kinds. This sorting is ours, based on the papers people send us.
| What does not match | What it usually is |
|---|---|
| Marksheet differs from matric | A slip at admission or on the exam form |
| Passing certificate differs | Copied from a wrong marksheet |
| Registration certificate differs | A slip typed at registration |
| Aadhaar differs | A short form, or a surname left out |
| Entrance exam form differs | Typed wrongly on the entrance application |
| Name after marriage | Papers in the earlier name, now using the new |
| Genuine change of name | A deliberate new name, after matric |
How to Fix a Jharkhand Paramedical Registration Name Mismatch
The council corrects the three papers it issues. It does not correct your matric or Aadhaar. The table below is our practical advice.
| Situation | What we usually advise |
|---|---|
| Marksheet differs | Apply to the council, with your matric. Fee list shows Rs 200 |
| Passing certificate differs | Apply to the council after the marksheet is right. Fee list shows Rs 500 |
| Registration certificate differs | Apply to the council last. Fee list shows Rs 1,000 |
| Aadhaar differs | See Aadhaar name change |
| Matric differs | See JAC marksheet and Aadhaar |
| Name after marriage | Marriage certificate and affidavit. See affidavit after marriage |
| Genuine change of name | A Gazette notice, then each paper |
Correct in order: marksheet, then passing certificate, then registration. If you fix only the registration, the passing certificate behind it still carries the old spelling. Anyone who checks both will see the gap. This is our advice.
For a worker who married after registration, the marksheet and passing certificate stay in the earlier name. They are records of the past. What you can do is tie the two names with a marriage certificate and a one-and-the-same affidavit. Then ask the council whether it will show the married name on your registration. This is our advice.
Renewal, Jobs and Moving State as a Paramedical Worker
Your registration name travels to renewals, jobs and other states. This list is our advice.
| Record | What to watch |
|---|---|
| Renewal every 5 years | Rs 500 on the fee list. Renew in the corrected name |
| Migration certificate | Rs 400 on the fee list. It carries your register name |
| Certificate verification for a job | Rs 500 on the fee list. Correct the name first |
| Government health jobs | See name correction before JSSC and JPSC verification |
| Salary account | See bank records |
| PAN and Aadhaar | See PAN and Aadhaar |
Does a Paramedical Registration Name Mismatch Need a Gazette Notice?
No, for a spelling slip, a Hindi spelling or a name after marriage. Those are fixed at the office that issued each paper, or tied with a marriage certificate and affidavit. A Gazette notice is for a genuine change of name, and even then each paper needs its own update.
| Situation | What usually applies |
|---|---|
| Registration certificate slip | Council correction. No Gazette |
| Marksheet or passing certificate slip | Issuing body correction. No Gazette |
| Aadhaar slip | Aadhaar update. No Gazette |
| Name after marriage | Marriage certificate. No Gazette |
| Genuine change of name | A Central Gazette notice, then each paper |

Central Gazette Process for a Name From Jharkhand, and Where It Fits a Paramedical Registration
No district in Jharkhand has a gazette counter, so a genuine file goes from Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Deoghar or anywhere else in the state to the Department of Publication, Civil Lines, Delhi 110054, and the notice publishes in Part IV of the Gazette of India. As reported in July 2025 the Finance Department stopped personal name change notifications from the Jharkhand Government Press with immediate effect, so there is no state alternative to fall back on.
The Eight Steps of a Name File Sent From Jharkhand
Settle the final name first
Letter by letter, with the spacing you want, and then use exactly that everywhere, Aadhaar included. A corrigendum after publication is a second fee and a second wait.
Pick the category, then its proforma
A genuine change of name is change of Name Adult or Major. A wrongly typed spelling is the public notice for a wrongly written name. Twelve categories exist and only one is yours.
Type the proforma in duplicate
Two originals with two witnesses giving signature, full name, address and mobile number on both copies. A change of name is signed in the old name; a public notice is signed in your own name.
Fill the employment field if it is a change of name
The adult proforma asks for the post of the applicant and the office or company name. A student or a homemaker should still complete it rather than leaving it blank, because a blank field brings the file back.
Publish and keep the original paper
One of the daily local leading newspapers, carrying both names in full, the father or husband name and the residential address. The whole original paper goes in the file, not a cutting.
Pay only through BharatKosh
The Non Tax Receipt Portal and nowhere else since October 2018. Select the Department of Publication by name, read the amount the portal shows on the day, pay in your own name and print the e-receipt.
Check every date, then post it yourself
Nothing in the file older than one year. Personally or by post or courier only, never through an agent or advocate. Photocopy everything first, because nothing sent in comes back.
Read the notice, then update in the right order
Check every word the day it publishes and download the e-Gazette copy. Then update Aadhaar and PAN, and then your bank account and residence papers, with the original Gazette notification.
The Five Papers in the File, and What Is Checked in Each
| The paper | What is checked in it, clause by clause |
|---|---|
| 1. The proforma, in duplicate | That it is the right category format; the existing full name exactly as your documents carry it; the new full name exactly as settled; the father or husband name; the full address with pin code; the post and office or company name where it is a change of name; the signature in the right name for the category; two witnesses complete with signature, full name, address and mobile number |
| 2. The affidavit or undertaking | The same names and address as the proforma, word for word, with wording matching the category. On Rs 100 non-judicial stamp paper as our safe default |
| 3. The original newspaper | The original paper, not a cutting; the paper name and date of publication visible; both names carried; the father or husband name and residential address; dated within the last year |
| 4. Photographs, identity proof and any category paper | Two self attested passport photographs; self attested identity and address proof matching the proforma address; both witnesses proofs; and, in a public notice file, the attested photocopy of the connected document carrying the error |
| 5. The CD, its certificate and the BharatKosh receipt | MS Word, without the witness portion, with the name typed in place of the signature; the certificate that the hard copy and the soft copy are the same; the forwarding letter to the Controller of Publication with a telephone number and email; the e-receipt |
The posting detail is on the sending the file to Delhi page, the change of name wording on the proforma format page and the public notice wording on the public notice proforma page, the charge by category on the fee and undertaking page, the reasons files come back on the rejection reasons page, and the download on the download page.
