Most of the time there is no field to fill • A gazette cannot add one • Only two or three documents are the real problem

Mother Name Missing From Documents in Jharkhand

Before you pay anybody to add your mother name to a record, find out whether that record has a place for it at all. This is the part nobody explains. Aadhaar has no mother field. A caste or Scheduled Tribe certificate has no mother field. A voter card and a driving licence do not carry one either. So a missing mother name on those is not an omission, an error or something a gazette can repair. It is how the form is built. The documents where the field genuinely exists, and can genuinely be blank, are a much shorter list, and this page tells you which ones they are and what to do about each.

0Mother fields on an Aadhaar record
1Parent name printed on a PAN card
2018The year the PAN rule changed
0Gazettes that can add a missing field
Quick answer

Sort your problem into one of three buckets before spending a rupee, because two of the three need no work at all. Bucket one, the record has no mother field. Aadhaar does not carry one. A caste or Scheduled Tribe certificate does not carry one. Neither does a voter card or a driving licence. Nothing is missing from those documents, because there was never a space for it, and no gazette notification can add a field to a form. If somebody has quoted you for adding your mother name to an Aadhaar record, that is the end of the conversation. Bucket two, the record carries one parent name and the rule lets you choose. A PAN card prints one parent name, and since CBDT Notification 82/2018, dated 19 November 2018 and effective 5 December 2018, the application form reads "Father's Name (Mandatory except where mother is a single parent and PAN is applied by furnishing the name of mother only)", with a tick box asking whether the mother is a single parent and whether you wish to apply with her name only. So a PAN without a mother name is usually a choice that was made at application, not a defect. Bucket three, the field exists and is genuinely blank. That is a short list: a birth certificate, which always has a mother field, and a school record or board certificate, where older entries were often left empty. Those are the only ones worth an application, and each goes to its own office, not to a gazette. Find your bucket first. Most families discover they are in the first two and owe nobody anything.

Which Documents Carry a Mother Name and Which Never Did

Mother name missing from documents in Jharkhand and which records have the field
Half these documents never had a mother field. Nothing is missing from those.

Run down this list with your own papers in front of you. In most families the whole worry ends here, before any office is written to.

Which Indian documents carry a mother name field and which do not
The documentDoes it carry a mother name
Birth certificateYes, always. This is the one record in the whole file that reliably carries the mother name, which is why a blank or wrong entry here matters far more than it looks
AadhaarNo mother field at all. Nothing is missing from your Aadhaar. There was never a space for it, and nothing anybody sells you can create one
Caste or Scheduled Tribe certificateNo mother field. These are built around the applicant and the father line. A missing mother name is not a defect in the certificate
PAN cardOne parent name is printed, and since the 2018 change the applicant may choose which. See the next section, because this is a choice, not an accident
School records and board certificatesUsually yes, and this is where genuinely blank entries turn up, especially in older records. One of only two places worth an application
Voter card and driving licenceNo mother field in the ordinary way. Do not spend anything trying to add one
PassportParent details are taken at application. The rules were simplified in December 2016, including for single parents. See the next section
The quotation to refuse outright. A gazette notification cannot add a mother name to a document that has no mother field, and it cannot rewrite a birth register either. A gazette is a published notice about a name. If somebody has offered you a gazette file to put your mother name onto an Aadhaar record or a caste certificate, they are selling you something that does not exist. Ask them which field on the form it will fill.
Why this matters more than it sounds. Because the birth certificate is often the only formal record of your mother name in your entire file. If it is blank or wrong there, nothing else in your papers can quietly cover for it. That is the one document worth real attention, and the correction route for a wrong entry is on our name change in birth certificate page.

PAN and Passport: A Mother Name Is Allowed, and Often Was Never Asked For

These two come up constantly, usually from people who assume a form refused their mother name. In both cases the position is better than they were told.

PAN, and the exact wording of the rule. CBDT Notification 82/2018, dated 19 November 2018 and effective from 5 December 2018, changed the PAN application form so that the field now reads: "Father's Name (Mandatory except where mother is a single parent and PAN is applied by furnishing the name of mother only)". The form also asks directly: "Whether mother is a single parent and you wish to apply for PAN by furnishing the name of your mother only?", with a yes or no tick. Where the applicant ticks yes, the mother name may be furnished instead, and the applicant may choose which parent name appears printed on the card itself.
What the PAN position means for a missing mother name
Your situationWhat it means
Your PAN shows your father name and you wanted your mother nameThat was a choice made at application, not a refusal by the Department. The card prints one parent name, and since the 2018 change the applicant chooses which
Your mother is a single parent and you were told the father name is compulsoryYou were told wrong after 5 December 2018. The form itself carves out exactly this case and asks the question on its face
Your PAN was issued before December 2018It was issued under the older form. If you now want the mother name printed, that is a PAN correction through the ordinary correction route, not a gazette matter
You want both parent names on the PAN cardThe card prints one. Decide which, and keep the other parent name on the documents that do carry it
Passport, and what actually changed. New Passport Rules were announced by press release on 23 December 2016, with gazette notifications issued on 26 December 2016. Among the simplifications, a single parent gives a declaration in Annexure C, and the older affidavits in the form of the earlier Annexure C and Appendix 27 of the Passport Manual 2010 need not be obtained from such applicants. If you were once turned away, or made to swear an affidavit, under the pre-2016 practice, the position today is simpler than the one you remember.
What we are not telling you, on purpose. We have not verified exactly how a passport application handles a case where one parent name is genuinely unavailable, beyond the single parent declaration above, so we are not printing a rule about it. Ask the Passport Seva Kendra directly and get the answer in writing before you prepare anything. The wider passport position is on our name change in passport page, and the PAN position on name change in PAN card.

When the Mother Name Field Exists and Is Genuinely Blank

Two documents, and only two, are worth an application. Everything on this page so far was about clearing away the cases that are not really problems. These are the ones that are.

The Birth Certificate With a Blank Mother Entry

This is the serious one, because the birth certificate is often the only formal record of the mother name in the whole file. A blank entry here is a different request from correcting a wrong one, and it should not be drafted from a template.

Do not let anybody write this application before reading the register entry. What is possible depends entirely on what the original entry actually shows and why the space is empty. It matters whether the mother name was never recorded at registration, whether it was recorded and is missing only from the printed copy you hold, or whether the birth itself was registered late. Those three look identical on a certificate and lead to three different requests. Get a copy of the entry first. Anybody quoting you a fee before seeing it is quoting blind.
The one thing that is always true here. A birth register is corrected by the Registrar, under the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, and the correction is made in the margin without altering the original entry. A gazette notification does not do this and never did. So whatever the answer turns out to be for your entry, it is an application to the office holding the register for the place of birth, not a published notice.

The School Record or Board Certificate With a Blank Mother Entry

Far more common than people expect, particularly in records made decades ago when the column was often left empty. This one is usually straightforward.

How a blank mother name in a school or board record is handled
The situationHow we would handle it
The admission register has her name but the certificate does notThe strongest case there is. Apply through the head of the institution with an attested copy of the register page, because the school record already proves the entry
The admission register is blank tooHarder, and the honest answer depends on what other records exist. Her documents and the birth record become the evidence. Do not assume a form will fix it
The certificate is already printed and the board holds the dataA board correction matter, slower, and sometimes refused. Our page on a JAC certificate correction after many years sets out what is still possible
The school has closedRecords are traced through the district education office. Start early, put every request in writing, and expect it to take time
Ask for the register page in the same letter. Whatever you are applying for, ask the school in writing for an attested copy of the admission form and the admission register page at the same time. It is older than the certificate, it often settles the question on its own, and asking for it later means writing twice. The escalation route, where a school will not act, is on our school refuses to forward a correction page.

The Order to Deal With a Missing Mother Name in Jharkhand

Step one settles it for most families without anything else being needed.

1

Check whether the document has the field at all

Aadhaar, caste certificate, voter card and driving licence do not. If that is your whole problem, you are finished and you owe nobody anything.

2

Separate the PAN question from the rest

A PAN prints one parent name and the applicant chooses. A missing mother name there is usually a choice made at application, fixable by correction.

3

Look at the birth certificate closely

Does it have a blank mother entry, or is the entry there but wrong? Those are two different requests with two different routes.

4

Get a copy of the register entry before anything else

From the office that issued the certificate. What the original entry shows decides what can be asked for. Never let an application be drafted without it.

5

Ask the school for the admission register page

Attested, in writing. If her name is in the register but missing from the certificate, that page is your whole case.

6

Lay out her own documents

Aadhaar, PAN, voter card, her Class 10 certificate. Whatever is added anywhere must match the form her own papers carry.

7

Apply to the office that holds the record

The Registrar for a birth entry, the head of institution for a school record. One written application each, two copies, one stamped as received.

8

Leave the no-field documents alone

Do not open applications on Aadhaar or a caste certificate for this. There is nothing to fill and the attempt only creates noise in your file.

9

Keep one folder

The register entry copy, the attested register page, her documents, and every application with its received stamp.

The most common wasted payment on this page. A gazette file bought to add a mother name to a record that has no mother field, or to a birth register that only a Registrar can touch. Before paying anybody, ask one question: which field, on which form, will this fill? If the answer is vague, there is no field, and there is nothing to buy.

Central Gazette Process for a Name From Jharkhand, and Why a Missing Field Is Not It

Read this before the rest of this section, because this is where the wrong sale happens. A gazette cannot add a field that does not exist on a form, and it cannot rewrite a birth register, which only the Registrar can correct. So if your problem is a missing mother name, almost nothing below applies to you. It is printed in full for the separate case where the mother herself is genuinely changing her own name across her own documents, and so that you recognise at once when a gazette file is being quoted for a blank column that a school or a Registrar handles.

No district in Jharkhand has a gazette counter, so the file goes from Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Deoghar or anywhere else in the state to the Department of Publication, Civil Lines, Delhi 110054, and the notice publishes in Part IV of the Gazette of India. As reported in July 2025 the Finance Department stopped personal name change notifications from the Jharkhand Government Press with immediate effect, so there is no state alternative to fall back on.

The Eight Steps of a Name Change File Sent From Jharkhand

1

Settle the final name first

Write it out letter by letter, with the spacing you want, and then use exactly that in every paper. A corrigendum after publication is a second fee and a second wait.

2

Pick the category, then its proforma

For a surname spelling this is almost always the public notice for a wrongly written name, not a change of name, because you are not taking a new name. Twelve categories exist and only one is yours, and picking the wrong one is how files come back.

3

Type the proforma in duplicate

Two originals, signed in the old spelling, with two witnesses giving signature, full name, address and mobile number on both copies. On a wrongly written name the wrong spelling has to be quoted exactly as it is printed on each certificate named.

4

Get the affidavit attested at the right level

A notary for the ordinary change of name, and a First Class Magistrate of the concerned area where the different surname guidelines apply. This is the step that catches people out.

5

Publish and keep the original paper

One of the daily local leading newspapers, carrying both spellings in full, the father's name and the address. The whole original paper goes in the file, not a cutting.

6

Pay only through BharatKosh

The Non Tax Receipt Portal and nowhere else since October 2018. Select the Department of Publication by name, read the amount the portal shows on the day, pay in your own name and print the e-receipt.

7

Check every date, then post it yourself

Nothing in the file older than one year. Personally or by post or courier only, never through an agent or advocate. Photocopy everything first, because nothing sent in comes back.

8

Read the notice, then download it

Check both spellings letter by letter the day it publishes, note the page and issue number, and download the e-Gazette copy of that Part IV issue.

The Five Papers in the File, and What Is Checked in Each

The five papers of a Central Gazette minor's name change file and what the Department checks in each
The paperWhat is checked in it, clause by clause
1. The proforma, in duplicateThat it is the right category's format; the existing full name exactly as your documents carry it, surname included; the child's new full name exactly as you settled it; the father's or husband's name; the full address with pin code; the signature in the old name; two witnesses complete with signature, full name, address and mobile number
2. The affidavit or undertakingSigned by the parent applying; the same names and address as the proforma, word for word; attested at the level the category asks for, which is a First Class Magistrate for the adopting a different surname route; on Rs 100 non-judicial stamp paper as our safe default
3. The original newspaperThe original paper, not a cutting; the paper's name and date of publication visible; both of the child's names carried; the same spelling as the proforma; dated within the last year
4. Photographs, identity proof and any category paperTwo self attested passport photographs of each applicant and the child, which the minor guidelines ask for specifically; identity and address proof matching the proforma address; both witnesses' proofs; and whatever the category itself demands, such as a decree or a no objection certificate where the maiden surname requirement applies
5. The CD, its certificate and the BharatKosh receiptMS Word, without the witness portion, with the name of the Guardian typed in place of the signature, which is where a minor file differs from an adult one; the certificate that the hard copy and the soft copy are the same; the forwarding letter to the Controller of Publication with a telephone number and email; the e-receipt
The proforma is where files are lost, and there are twelve to choose from. A maiden surname file typed on the ordinary change of name form, or a change of name typed on a surname form, comes back. The Government charge already paid is not refunded, because BharatKosh payments are non-refundable. You then have six months to make good a shortcoming the Department points out, after which a fresh application with all new documents is required.
What to select on BharatKosh, field by field. Pay to the Department of Publication under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, and pick the Ministry, the Pay and Accounts Office and the Drawing and Disbursing Officer by their names in the dropdown, never by a code copied off a website. The codes printed for this office on different websites do not agree with each other, and money paid into the wrong head cannot be traced to your file. Read the amount on the portal on the day you pay, because it is revised each financial year.
How to read the published notice before you rely on it. Open the e-Gazette copy and check five things: that it says Part IV; the date of publication; your old full name exactly as your documents carry it, with the surname spelt as it appears there; the child's new name, letter by letter; and the father's or husband's name and address. Then note the page number and the issue number, because that is what an office will quote back to you at verification.

The posting detail is on the sending the file to Delhi page, the wording on the proforma format page, the charge by category on the fee and undertaking page, the reasons files come back on the rejection reasons page, and the download on the download page.

What Dealing With a Missing Mother Name Costs in Jharkhand

Cost and time for dealing with a missing mother name in Jharkhand
ItemCostTime
Where the document has no mother field, which is most casesNothing at all. There is no application to make and nobody to pay. This is the commonest honest answer on this pageNo time, because there is no file
PAN, where one parent name is printedThe ordinary PAN correction charge, if you want the other parent name printed. No gazette chargeThe usual PAN correction turnaround
Birth register entry, or a school recordThe issuing office's own charges, plus Rs 10 for an RTI application if a school register page has to be obtained that way. We do not print office charges we have not verifiedSet by the office. We do not print a timeline we have not verified
One and the same person affidavitRs 100 non-judicial stamp paper and the notary. Accepted by banks, employers and colleges. Usually refused by boards, passport counters and recruitment panelsThe same day
One and the same person affidavitRs 100 non-judicial stamp paper and the notary. Accepted by banks, employers and colleges. Usually refused by boards, passport counters and recruitment panelsThe same day
Government printing chargeThe minor guidelines print Rs 1,700 for a change of name of a minor with effect from 01.04.2016 to 31.03.2017. For comparison the adult guidelines print Rs 1,100 for the same year, and Rs 3,500 for an Indian living abroad. Every category's guidelines add that the charge varies each financial year and from case to case, so treat these as the order of the amount. What BharatKosh shows on the payment screen the day you pay is the figure that countsPart IV publishes weekly, so allow several weeks from posting
AffidavitRs 100 non-judicial stamp paper plus the attestation. A notary is enough for an ordinary public notice. A First Class Magistrate is only for the adopting a different surname routeNotary the same day; a magistrate needs a planned court visit
NewspaperPaid to the paper, charged by lengthSame week
Post or courier to DelhiSent in your own name from any district, and keep the receiptA few days each way
Updating the records afterwardsAadhaar charges a fee per attempt with no refund, and the other offices have their own small chargesSeveral weeks across all of them
Our chargeQuoted on your papers before you pay anything, and confirmed in writing. We print no service price on any page of this site
Do not trust a figure printed on any website, including this one, on the day you pay. The Department's own guidelines say the printing charge varies each financial year and from case to case, so the figures above are what the published guidelines show for 2016 to 2017 and are given so you know the order of the amount, not the amount. What BharatKosh shows when you reach the payment screen is the one that counts. Read it there and pay that.

The honest total here is very often zero, because the document people are worried about never had a mother field. Where there is real work, it is one written application to the office that holds the record. What makes this expensive is only ever the same thing: a gazette file sold for a blank column. Ask which field it will fill, and the sale usually ends there. Our name change cost page sets out the line items in full.

Myths About a Missing Mother Name on Documents

Common beliefs about a missing mother name and what is actually correct
What people are toldWhat is actually so
A gazette will add your mother name to your AadhaarThere is no mother field on an Aadhaar record, so there is nothing for a gazette or anything else to fill. Ask whoever is selling it which field it goes into
Your caste certificate is defective because it has no mother nameIt is not defective. A caste or Scheduled Tribe certificate does not carry a mother field. Nothing is missing from it
PAN refuses to print a mother nameIt does not. Since CBDT Notification 82/2018, effective 5 December 2018, the form asks whether the mother is a single parent and whether you wish to apply with her name only, and the applicant may choose which parent name is printed
A single mother cannot get her child a passport without the father nameThe new Passport Rules announced on 23 December 2016, gazette notified on 26 December 2016, provide for a single parent declaration in Annexure C, replacing the older affidavits. The position is simpler than the one people remember
A blank mother entry on a birth certificate is the same as a wrong oneThey are two different requests with two different routes. Get a copy of the register entry before anybody drafts anything, because a blank may mean three different things
The school cannot help if the certificate is blankOften it can, and easily. If the admission register carries her name, that attested page is usually the whole case for correcting the certificate
An affidavit will add the name everywhereIt will not. An office adds a name to its own record against documents it recognises. An affidavit may sit in the file, never as the whole of it
Fix every document so they all show her nameMost of them cannot show it. Work only on the records that have the field, which is the birth certificate and the school record. Leave the rest alone
The one question that ends a wrong sale. Which field, on which form, will this fill? If nobody can name the field, there is no field. We would rather tell a family that their Aadhaar was never supposed to carry a mother name than take money for a file that fills nothing.

Key Terms in a Missing Mother Name Case

Key terms used when a mother name is missing from documents
TermWhat it means in practice
Mother fieldA column on a form or record designed to hold the mother name. Present on a birth certificate and usually on school records, absent on Aadhaar and a caste certificate
Blank entryThe field exists but nothing was written in it. A different request from correcting a wrong entry, and it needs the original register entry read first
Register entryThe original record of a birth, held by the office for the place of birth. The printed certificate is a copy of it, and the two are not always identical
CBDT Notification 82/2018Dated 19 November 2018, effective 5 December 2018. Made the father name in a PAN application mandatory except where the mother is a single parent and PAN is applied with her name only
Single parent declarationUnder the Passport Rules announced 23 December 2016, a declaration in Annexure C, replacing the older affidavits under the earlier Annexure C and Appendix 27
Admission registerThe school own record of every student on admission. Where her name sits there but not on the certificate, that page is the whole case
Head of institutionThe principal or headmaster, who forwards a school record correction. Nothing moves in a school without them
RegistrarThe officer holding the birth register for the place of birth. A Municipal Corporation, a Nagar Parishad, a Nagar Panchayat or a block registrar in Jharkhand
CorrectionPutting a record right against documents already held. Cheap, quick, publishes nothing
Change of nameTaking a name no record carries. That belongs to the mother own documents, and is not what a blank column needs
Attested copyA copy signed by the office as a true copy. Ask for one of the register page in the same letter that asks for the correction
Received stampThe office acknowledgement on your own copy. Without it, an application never happened

Send the documents for a check

Photograph the document you are worried about first, whichever it is, because half the time our reply is that it has no mother field and there is nothing to do. Then the birth certificate both sides, the Class 10 certificate, the school admission form if the family kept a copy, and the PAN. Add your mother own documents: Aadhaar, PAN, voter card and her school certificate, because whatever gets added anywhere has to match the form her papers carry. The first reply tells you which of your documents can even hold her name, which one is a real blank worth an application, and which office it goes to. We will tell you plainly where the answer is that nothing needs doing. Details on the contact page.

Missing Mother Name on Documents: Frequently Asked Questions

My Aadhaar does not show my mother name. How do I add it?+
You do not, because there is no mother field on an Aadhaar record. Nothing is missing from your Aadhaar and nothing was left out by mistake. If somebody has quoted you a gazette file or any other file to add it, ask them which field on the form it will fill. There is not one, and that is the end of the conversation.
Is my caste certificate defective without my mother name?+
No. A caste or Scheduled Tribe certificate does not carry a mother field. It is built around the applicant and the father line. Nobody at a verification will treat its absence as a defect, because the form never had a space for it.
Can my PAN card show my mother name instead of my father name?+
Yes, within the rule. CBDT Notification 82/2018, dated 19 November 2018 and effective 5 December 2018, changed the form so the field reads "Father's Name (Mandatory except where mother is a single parent and PAN is applied by furnishing the name of mother only)", and the form asks directly whether the mother is a single parent and whether you wish to apply with her name only. The card prints one parent name, and the applicant may choose which.
My PAN was made before 2018 with my father name. Can it be changed?+
It was issued under the older form, so if you now want the mother name printed, that goes through the ordinary PAN correction route. It is not a gazette matter and nobody should price it as one. Decide first, because the card prints one parent name and not both.
My mother is a single parent. Was I wrongly refused?+
If you were told after 5 December 2018 that the father name is compulsory on a PAN application, you were told wrong, because the form itself carves out exactly that case. On passports, the rules announced on 23 December 2016 and gazette notified on 26 December 2016 provide for a single parent declaration in Annexure C, and the older affidavits under the earlier Annexure C and Appendix 27 need not be obtained.
The mother name is blank on my birth certificate. What now?+
This is the serious one, and it should not be drafted from a template. Get a copy of the original register entry first, from the office that issued the certificate. A blank can mean the name was never recorded, or that it was recorded and is missing only from the printed copy you hold, or that the birth was registered late. Those look identical on a certificate and lead to three different requests.
Will a gazette add the mother name to my birth certificate?+
No. A birth register is dealt with by the Registrar, under the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, and a correction is made in the margin without altering the original entry. A gazette is a published notice and never rewrites a register. Whatever your entry turns out to need, it is an application to the office holding the register for the place of birth.
My school certificate has no mother name but the school knows it.+
Then you are probably in the easiest version of this. Ask the school in writing for an attested copy of the admission form and the admission register page. If her name sits in the register, that page is usually the whole case for correcting the certificate, applied for through the head of the institution.
What if the admission register is blank too?+
Harder, and we will not pretend otherwise. The answer then depends on what other records exist: her own documents, the birth record, and anything else contemporaneous. Do not assume a form will fix it. Send the papers and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done and what it would take.
Should I try to get her name onto every document?+
No, and this is where money gets wasted. Most of your documents cannot show it. Work only on the records that have the field, which in practice means the birth certificate and the school record. Opening applications on an Aadhaar or a caste certificate for this only puts noise in your file.
Which form of her name should be added?+
The form her own documents carry today. Adding a version her Aadhaar, PAN and school certificate do not show simply creates a fresh mismatch in place of a blank. Lay her papers out and settle that before any application is written.
What does it cost?+
Very often nothing, because the document people are worried about never had a mother field. Where there is real work it is the issuing office own charge, plus Rs 10 if an RTI application is needed for a school register page. No gazette charge. We do not print office or school charges, because they vary and we have not verified them everywhere.

Who wrote and checked this page

Written and maintained by the Jharkhandnamechange.com documentation desk, led by founder Vipin Chauhan, B.Tech LL.B, with 5+ years filing with the Department of Publication. The PAN position is taken from CBDT Notification 82/2018, dated 19 November 2018 and effective 5 December 2018, which changed the PAN application form so that the field reads "Father's Name (Mandatory except where mother is a single parent and PAN is applied by furnishing the name of mother only)", and added the question "Whether mother is a single parent and you wish to apply for PAN by furnishing the name of your mother only?" with a yes or no tick, the applicant being able to choose which parent name is printed on the card. The passport position is taken from the announcement of the new Passport Rules by press release on 23 December 2016, with gazette notifications issued on 26 December 2016, under which the Passport Authorities obtain from a single parent a declaration in Annexure C and no affidavit in the form of the erstwhile Annexure C and Appendix 27 of the Passport Manual 2010 need be obtained from such applicants. We have deliberately not printed a rule about how a passport application handles a parent name that is genuinely unavailable beyond that declaration, because we have not verified one, and the page tells the reader to ask the Passport Seva Kendra in writing instead. That an Aadhaar record, a caste or Scheduled Tribe certificate, a voter card and a driving licence carry no mother field, and that a birth certificate and school records do, is our own working knowledge from filing these cases rather than a published list. We do not print office, school or registrar charges, which vary, and we do not print processing timelines we have not verified. We are a documentation consultancy and not advocates. Who we are is on the about page.

A Missing Mother Name in Eight Lines

The short version

  • First ask whether the document has a mother field at all.
